
Our Founder Gauri Gupta took part in the Youth Ideathon-India @ 75. It is India’s largest Festival of “Ideas” from classes 6th-12th. This event is organized by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and ThinkStartup. Gauri successfully presented her pitch for her initiative Read to India and the judges, as well as the audience, were impressed by her passion. There were 62,500 participants, Gauri emerged as the top 10 finalists and won a cash prize of Rs. 25,000 for the “Best Social Entrepreneurship Idea.”
Read to India is a social entrepreneurship venture that acts as an alternative education platform. Read to India has been able to impact over 100 children from Maharashtra and Rajasthan, with volunteers from various backgrounds who have been able to put in over 940 hours of service. Furthermore, Read to India was able to donate over 40 phones and wifi connections to children in Rajasthan.
